Dawn talks with Lani Dickinson, a former Fortune 175 CEO, who helps self-led & self-made multi 7 and 8-figure founders net more profit and TRUE time freedom, and a company that runs without them allowing them to make their impact, build generational wealth, and exit for more - whether that exit is from the day to day for time & location freedom, or exit for more multiple at the sale. Dawn and Lani talk about the keys to a sustainable business.
In this episode…
Who is Lanie and whom does she serve? (1:05).
What pieces make a business sustainable? (2:36).
As somebody who led, what role does leadership play in this? how do we ensure sustainability? (7:00).
What the tolerance is for business owners once they've given it up and had to take it back, how much more work is that for you to encourage them to build that trust and to understand that they are throttling their own growth by not being willing to find those specialists? (13:35)
Not just hiring a VA like to free up the founder to do more activities, we actually need to free up the founder to just keep the vision because the founder can't do all of those tasks and pieces. (17:44).
The founder who doesn't understand where the limitations of their ability are and just keeps trying to work, that is a recipe for disaster. (23:54)
How often it's important for the leader to ask those questions and answer them honestly from everybody in the organization about, what are our strengths, where has the market shifted, and what we do well? (25:33)
